depends on how you would describe a "true audiophile."

If it means spending more than $50 on speaker wire or RCA's than count me out.

Well, if you buy $10 Legacy speakers for your HT, but then take 3 days working on placement and staging, it makes you an audiophile. A poor one, but an Audiophile. =)

for real... SQ and having quality brands that arn't mainstream garbage like 90% of the people with systems have.

I feel you. I got myself an 18 SX and no car. Hmmm what happens if I get a civic? Gut the back seats. I don't care. I'd like to consider myself an audiophile, but I'm not.
