Trucks - SQ or SPL?

I don't know if I believe that or not; I'd have to do some research. I say this because in my ext. truck it prefers the windows down. There may not be enough air to compress. SUV's get loud easily, and there's a lot of air.
Lemme know what you find out. I would imagine there is a different reason than your cabin is too small for why it gets louder with the windows down. I would bet rolling them down eliminates some kind of cancellation inherent to your cabin and the direction your subs are firing.

you can go either way. you say your truck is an ext cab so... if you wanted to go for a huge box just ditch the rear seat and presto you have a cr@p load of room for a system. sq you can probably build something under the rear seat. or hell you can even go with a blowthrough box. im sure you sont need a box thats bigger than the bed of your truck. so really its all up to your personal taste

I beleive if your vehicle is louder with the windows rolled down its due to some cancellation. with the windows up the soud waves in the vehicle are cancelling eachother out for one reason or another, now when you have your windows down the sound waves can escape the vehicle before the cancelation occurs resulting in a louder system.
