I'm not sure I understand...maybe elaborate a little on what you mean by this?It appears you cannot play certain 'ethnic' music with their precious tubes...in not so nice language- talk about shooting yourself in the foot..

Not a flame at all, just curious.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gifTo be short and unoffending; Someone had a problem with an amplifier, called Tru about it, and Tru (John Yi) asked if he was playing real music or "ethnic" (he didn't use that word) music.
That's the story atleast.
To be fair, one of the reviewers for either CA&E or Road Gear still uses a regular C7 as their reference amp. And that C-7.2AT, IIRC, was still named one of the products of the year by CA&E. At group buy/forum pricing, the TRU amps were very nice...but realistically that's what MSRP should have been.Just goes to show...how a group deal several years ago and nice accomodation to certain forum members can push a product to a level beyond belief. It made a new company out of no where nosedive into the truly high end market
Putting something together in a pretty box and Brax look alike casing can generate lots of dinero when you have people spreading it like Jehovas' witness, and bash other established companies.....Specially in the amplifier market, where audiophiles dont consider the relevancy of psychoacoustics.
Caraudio mag review, the listeners could'nt even detect the so called 'incomparibly warm qualities of a tube amplifier' in the C-7.2AT..hehe
Well, were you listening to real music or nig... I mean "ethnic" music?BTW, Used a T2.100, T4.65, and a T4.100 w/ absolutely no issues at all.
I know 7wpc amps for $2k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifC-7.2AT is soooo overprices. Its like 2k for 7w.
Ill take my chances on lesser amps.
