trouble with amp

I have a KAC-8152D Amplifier, it has 1100 watts. I connect the red cable to the battery, hooked black cable to chassis, and blue cable to the blue cable on my stereo. The stupid thing wont' power up tho I looked through both manuals followed the ways it wants me to connect, my stereo is a KDC mp528

Its brand spanking new.. 2006 amp, has warrenty on it too

Is there an inline fuse included in the power cable? If so - check to see if it is blown.

Additionally - if you are certain the power and ground are properly connected on the amp see if the amp will power up in tuner mode but shuts off in CD mode....

did you connect the power the the battery positive? and are you sure the remote line isnt connected to the antenna, becuase the usually look very similar.

I am positive its connected to the positive post of the battery, the 80 amp I have works and I installed the amp onto the cable ot seems to work because I just got shocked recently. I know its not antenna, because.. the antenna is huge, it says in my book of stereo, that blue/white wire is power conductor wire... but I tried to connect the amp to that and the stereo stopped putting sound out. I got a dark blue wire that I connected the amp too is saying its motor antenna control, so I dunno what ot ocnnect, because it short circuits my sound if I do blue/white =(

im gonna try to just connect the white blue cable

to the blue cable see if amp turns on.. if it does ill have to try to mak both work

Okay it works.. but its hooked up strangely.. the 12v + cable is to car... I got blue cable to the blue cable of the radio, but i have to have this black cable that grounds the radio connected to the amp too... as the ground.. and it works... but thing is the black cable has to be touching the stereo metal or some kind of metal grounded

or it wont' work =/ I don't think my other grond works lol

To the original poster, like mentioned, check your fuses. Also check your voltage coming from the power and remote wires.
