trouble with 2500d

I've been running my 15" dual 1 btl at .5 ohms on my2500d for about a week now no problems(ran another sub at 1 ohm for months previous to that) and no problems. Today i turn on my car and i hear no bass but i do hear this continuous clicking sound that can be heard and felt from the sub. Tried with another sub free air and same problem, i had my gains at 30V which to me is on the low side to be safe since i dont know the rms for .5 ohms on the amp to do the math. I had gain set at 50V when i had it on one ohm load before. All the connections are good and the red power light is solid red like usually is.

Anyone know what the problem might be and if there is a way to fix it?

Its weird that it all of sudden just crapped out on me, never got hot or anything before.

SkwurlyFab had a smiliar problem that he posted a thread about but doesn't say wat happen or what he did to try and fix, i tried PMing him today but no responce so i thought maybe someone else might know little bit about whats goign on or what to do.

This was the thread he had:

I really dont want to have to buy another amp at this time, these bigger amps are not cheap and $$ is low at the moment. BTW my warranty is passed and orion warranty card says that there has to be proof also that it was installed by a orion authorized dealer which really sux @ss.

i ran mines .5 ohm and it never gave me problems. But that amp is done i had that happen to me on my first 2500d, due to loose connections, any amp needs scure and tight connections. But your problem may have came from running it at .5 ohm im not sure

yea i kind of figured the amp might be done:crap:. well, i guess i'll be BASSLESS for a while before i can get another amp unless there is some way to fix this w/o spending arm and leg

Shit i ran my 15" fully loaded btl on my orion 2500d for a couple months and i never had a problem. I guess i set my gains correctly.

where did u set it at? i set mine at 30V when running .5 ohms, thought that would be on the safe side

~31.

What kind of eletrical system do you have? Maybe that's why u f'ed up ur shit. Your eletrical system may not be stable enough to handle that much power. Especially with so much current draw on such of a low impedence.

i know it may be a scam or fraud but if you can get somone to make you a fake reciept saying you bought the amp within the last past year you can get it repaired buy Orion for free, they will probabaly give u a refurb thats better than nothing.
