Trouble installing new deck

I currently have an older jensen deck that starting to die, so i bought a new deck and am trying to install it. Everything I see looks similar to what i'm putting in except for this one wire that is coming out of the existing deck and leads into the firewall.

Any ideas as to what it is, or what i should do with it?

heres so pictures of it coming from the deck, then it reaches some sort of metal reducing coupling and then leads into the firewall of the car

am i suppose to cut it and splice it into my new deck somehow? Does this antenna wire differ from the one on the wiring harness?

there should be an identical plug on the back of the new deck. The wire on the harness is for power ant. to make them go up and down when the deck turns on and off.
