Trolling ricers at walmart

You probably get slightly better gas mileage, but make 1/4 the power. I can average 20 if i keep my foot out of it.
I think I may have to put my boots on its getting deep. you say its capable of 12's in the quarter with only 3.23 gears which is unlikely in that car (its heavy) unless there is a ton f fiberglasss in it. and it gets 20 miles to the gallon? I don't know man, I almost don't believe either.

My buddy has a 62 vette with a dirt track motor in it. The car has a tad over 400 horsepower and it will run in the high 12's(barely). it only weighs 2700 lbs. It has 4.56 gears And gets no where near 20 mile to the gallon. Like 7 or 8.

My uncle has an old impala that would be closer to your car in weight, motor has just under 400 horse, 300 at the tires (dynoed). It runs very good for a big car, and his best time at the track was a 14.9

Out of your two claims I would say the gas mileage is more believable, but still a little far fetched.

Have you ever taken that car to tha track? you might be surprised.

12.08 before rear swap. I have not run it in the 1/8 mile. Chevys geometry makes mostly top end power, this engine makes over 500ft lb from 2900 rpm all the way to 6000 where it peaks, dont rev it any higher. Your buddies chevy likely is just thrown together with no research, and probably has a fat old holley carb on it too. I know people running 11s with olds 350s, lol. This car isnt heavy, but i let people think it is. Its somewhere around 3300-3500 dry IIRC. Anyone knows tuning makes all the difference. I built the car to run good on the street, but hold its own on the track. I ended up with something halfway decent on gas, that makes a bunch of torque.

3300-3500 is pretty surprising actually. I'm not doubting the speed, but getting that kind of mileage out of it is pretty crazy. Not saying its unbelievable just not very common to have both. Your sort of right about my freinds car but not entirely. His dad owns a race shop so they know how make a car run, but it was set up more for playing around on the street. It has a 650 demon for a carb btw.

What type of fuel delivery do you have on that?

Ill get it on the dyno soon. Ill put money on my "rice" having more power than your big bad *** v8.
At the end of the day, you still have a little girly engine that makes no power without boost and nitrous. Also ****** car that is clipped together and made of chinesium alloy.

Ive got a built 850cfm Q-jet on it. Q-jets are spread bore and have real small primary venturis, but big *** secondaries. Best street carb hands down. Smoked a riced out honda the other night without even going over 1/4 throttle LOL, didnt even open the secondaries. Did a WOT run on the highway and drank 10$ worth of gas in less than 2 minutes though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

BTW that carb is too small if he has the work done to it that he says. 650 IMO is too small for even a stock 350.
