OK so im getting a Treo Engineering SSi 12.44. After seeing what my 15" SSI does with 400rms in a sealed I want to make a slot vented for this 12". I think im skilled enough to make the box....and i believe I have all the specs needed

http://www.treo-engineering.com/ssi_specs.html

but I don't know how to tune to im guessing 25.XX HZ it calls for if im reading correctly....so if someone could either give me a quick how 2 on how to work around that frequency to get the dimensions i need

like this i picked up from the sticky

1.25 @ 32

http://img62.imageshack.us/my.php?image=125cubes32hz21sqin4qf.png

that's of course 1.25^3FT at 32Hz right?

btw unless it says it in the specs... I'm not even sure what it recommends for X^3ft for a ported/vented enclosure so if someone has made one for a treo please help me out here haha

If some can do that for me...id really appreciate it but id rather learn...i've always built sealed because its fairly easy....but again I don't know where to even start with making a slot vented enclosure tuned to a certain frequency... any input like formulas needed or start dimensions is welcome, no criticism please!

hey, i have a treo ssi 12, i had ionsql design me a ported box, and with about 500 watts this thing pounds i have mine 1.75 cubic tuned to 28 hz, the lows are loud i had a 4 inch aeroport and the sub inverted, because it looks nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif treo's are great, cant wait to build a box for the 15" ssi i have

specs for the ssi 12:

1.1 cubic sealed

or

1.75 cu ft net, 16 sq in vent, 16.5" long port tuning 28 Hz

thats straight from the specs sheet

so what your saying is... after driver displacement i need 1.75 cu ft...and make a 4 inch hole by 16.5 inches long.....where in the box and also im going to be running 800rms and normal (back inside the box) that change anything? i mean isnt a slot vented better?

im figuring out some things after reading the post by BASSOUTLAW on the sealed vs ported sticky......heres what im looking for

A slot vented enclosure for Treo 12.44

Tuned to 30HZ

2^3ft of volume before driver displacement

any dimensions would be awesome as im just starting to work with "Sketchups" to design a layout before i build

the funny thing about my treo ssi is that it was almost as loud as a eclipse titianium 15 i m not sure how loud those are but my friend had a way bigger amp than i did shows how good zapco makes there amps and how treo and hold there ground.

ok soo i was up all night "trying" to understand tuning and all that good shit haha and here's what i came up with for the treo 12...i sketched up 2 possible enclosures. let me know if im right wrong or somewhere close to where i should be haha

First Box Tuned to 35 Hz in a 1.877ft^3

H:15

W:17

L:17

Vent: 1.5x7x9

Second is tuned to 28Hz with 1.765ft^3

H:16

W:22.5

Top L:9

Bottom L:14

Port:

3inch DIA

11.6inches deep
