Treo CSX

I am probably going to buy 2 treo CSX 18s. It is a good deal, local, and I want to be loud. My question though is are these going to be ok for daily driving since they were made as competition subs? I know they will be loud(probably too loud), but I'm not worried about that, I just want to make sure they will be ok, and won't overheat or anything if run for long periods of time. These are the ones with the vent in the magnet.

stay away from the csx if it is going to be a dialy setup. look into the SSi or SSX if you have the power.
I know they are made for competitions, but why won't it work for daily? I actually only use the car maybe twice a week right now, is that too much? The reason I can't get the ssx is because I can't afford it, these csx are less than half of what new ssx cost(they are fresh recones, it took 10kw to each to blow them), and I can pick them up local, and I have the power. The only reason I wouldn't get these is if they are gonna break if I use them for 30 minutes-1 hour at a time. The most I would ever used these continuously is maybe 1 hour. I don't give a **** about SQ, I just want to be LOUD, so why shouldn't I use the CSX? These are a couple years old, which I read the older ones were better.

i'm in gainesville too i'm guessing your getting it at sdp. that will be loud as ****.

i want to upgrade to some solobarics.

=( i can tell no one is gonna like you in the neighborhood.
Well, while that is true, I do care about SQ a little, I didn't really mean it like that, its just not as important as SQL to me. I wanted a pair of XXX more, but these will get louder, and I can get the pair for about the same as 1 XXX, and new these things are like $1200 each.

Hey man nice to see some more people on here from gainesville(I actually live in melrose). No, at sounddepot I think they are like 1200 each, i could never afford that, I'm getting them from Shawn Fleming.

"If the CSX has a vented pole piece, then they recommend them for daily...."

Thanks, I think I will be getting them, each will be getting about 2500 watts each when I get the money for amps. I'm going to have 2 pairs of components up front, and 2 pair of nice coaxials in the back...

Just one thing...I wouldn't count on a pair of CSX's outdoing an XXX for daily use...XXX will displace more air and sound better doing it.

The CSX's will still get plenty loud, though.

csx are rated at 1200 watts.

what if i have a csx in a 3 cube @ 32 hz box with 1100 rms, how will that be in terms of output?

what about SQ? compare the sq off that to a l7 @ 39hz

One 18" XXX would get louder than a pair of 18" CSX?? I read the CSX is louder than the XXX on burps, which I will do occasionally, but would 1 XXX really get louder than 2 CSX daily? I should have bought that XXX 18" on ebay then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif . I see on your car domain page you have had both, does the 1 CSX get louder burping it than 1 XXX burping? The XXX would only have 2500wrms to it while the CSX have 2500wrms each. I thought the CSX was more comparable to the MT(I know the MT is louder) by being pretty much for spl only and being able to handle massive abouts of power. I wasn't intending this setup for daily use only , I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't overheat in my only car.
