Which would be louder, a SSI 15 on 1200 watts which is 450 watts over RMS or a SSX 12 on 2000 watts? Both in slot ported enclosures? I know that the power handling would play a role but would the diplacement of the SSI be enough to keep up?

I like my SSI for a single sub setup. Its louder than a lot of other setups I've had and still plays pretty clean, but since I'm leaning more toward spl than sql I'm trying to weigh my options

2k is alot to feed a daily driver, dont care what people say. I'd do the SSi with a tad over rms and call it a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I fed my 15" SSX either with a SS XXX6500, DDz1a or a IA40.1 all on a 16V system, took it like a champ and now someone else is beating on her. I had a set of Treo SSI 10.22 each on a Kicker sx1250.1 wired to 1 ohm strapped and they did nicely for a set of 10's >

Polo.

the ssi would be a better choice,

i would only go with the 12 ssx if u were looking to compete

the ssx is more impressive then the ssi size for size

but

i ran a treo ssi 15 on 900 rms in a comp and did very well,

my 15 prolly wouldnt have handled 1400rms like ur talkn bout though

The amp I'm using now is a Vibe 1800d so I'm guessing its giving at least 1000 and my sub is taking that easy. I guess I'll stick with my SSI until I find another 15
