Transmission Fluid

I am about to put in a new ***** and i need to get like 1.5 cases of Merc V fluid. This shit is pretty expensive. I found that the Advanced Auto Parts store brand is by far the cheapest. My question is this: Should i spend a little more coin for the name brand shit (Motorcraft) or will the store brand be just as good?

Anyone have a clue?

the best parts/ fluids for a ford car is Motorcraft....do it.

Do NOT buy the autozone or whoever brand. Ive seen bottles of off brand crap that is pretty much recycled fluid thats been cleaned.

I think you have the AOD or AODE (94 was to early for the 4R70W?) anyways all three of those ***** were picky on the fluid

nope. aod stopped after 93. i have a 94, and the new ***** is a 97 4r70w.

i think i will spend the cash. i mean i already got a lot in this so why not.

I did it to my 97 and I love it, took out the 1-2 and 2-3 springs also so it really slams into gear.

i've already ordered the parts. they are in my storage waiting install. darrin over at tccoa is a good man

new accum's, springs, gaskets, filter, pan, seals, jmod, cooler and temp gauge going in.
