Trading in the Focus for a new Caliber R/t...Yeah or ney?

Naw, I mean I like my focus, but the speed and the gear box (Like a knife slicing through melted butter) is what sold me on the car. I am not even 100% on the looks of the car. I think if I lowered it and put on some nice rims would help it out a lot.
The hatch is cool, but still too small and the wagon is just fugly!

I would get some nice black rims, with a chrome lip maybe with a lowering suspension to fill my wheel gap so it looks sleeker and probably ride a little better, or it might ride worst, who knows. I would probably go 17's or tops 18's. I dont know how that would be considered bling.....

Cant go over 20000 bucks. I think I stated that from the get go because of my negetive equity on my Focus.

Also this isnt just your norm Focus. I actually have kept up with a Civic Si light to light, not to mention test drove one before I bought my Focus ST and I could have bought the Si, just liked the Focus a lot better to be honest. Is my opinion though. Everyone is different. But if you go to Car and driver and compare times, the Focus in the standing quarter is only .4th of second off the SI. From 0-60 the civic has me for the most part, but not a major difference from when I drove it.

If you think 17's or 18's look blingly, then you need to get out more slick. Usually when you get over the 20's, you know dubs, that is when you get the bling effect.

Anyway, test drove an HHR today and dont get why so many people love that car. I mean it is cool looking to an extent being based on a panel truck, even though it is considered a station wagon. Test the bigger eng. in it and was still slow as balls! Then after my rebates, option 1 discount and money back from an autoshow, I was still way over in monthly payment. So sticking to the Focus for sure now.

went down that road a few years ago ended up going with a exploder cause i wanted to stay away from the minivan ... only to trade in the exploder for a nissan quest just over a year later. you may not realize it now but your gonna need a lot of room with a baby just think of it got the diaper bag, playpen, car seat ,formula etc one baby alone will take up more room than 2 passengers lol. not mention if you go anywhere overnight your luggage plus the baby luggage = minivan .

Ha, you bought an HHR! I test drove one for the hell of it because they had all kind of rebates going on them. Was the HHR LT Loaded to the gill. Even had matching black rims. I guess it was ordered like that and some guy backed out of the deal. Well test drove it and made me actually fall back in love with my car and forget about the whole thing for now. Car was slow as hell, not slow like well I could deal with it, slow like you thought that it was a rental car that was governed. If I remember, stock is like 16.6 on the quarter and like 0-60 in over 10 seconds. No thanks! Plus the interior is dirt cheap, the captians type chairs arms barley are there and the whole front window thing is pathetic. Will say at least yours is payed off, but then again I just sold my one car for 9500, so that will help out with some stuff.

i am ahead of depreciation and i dont speed so that was a non factor. i needed a decent economy vehicle and this was it. it accelerates better than my ranger 4.0V6 i bought the ebony interior and i have my indash Navi with rearview camera which i control. left me with enough money in my account to bet you $2K in the finals.

I drove the Caliber and wasn't impressed at all ... Mind you, it wasn't the R/T, but I still wouldn't do it ...

Well, not doing it. Dumbass Quest bumped this for whatever reason.

I will say the R/T was pretty nice. One of the nicer vechichles I test drove at that time and I drove a few from an Impala LTZ, Malibu SS, HHR LT, Mazada 6 wagon, Jeep Patriot, Chevy Canyon(The one with 4 doors) and a couple others I cant even remember ATM. Was actually the most fun to drive and had a ton of options with the navi, 10 speaker Boston Acoustics system, cooled.heated cup holders, cooler in above glove box and loaded to the gill and have that CVT autostick, which was slick. Wasnt as fast as my Focus, but went nicely. Would have bought it if I could have gotten in my range, but my neg equity was holding me down. Was only doing it for extra room anyway. Kinda glad to keep the FoFo. I really do love it. Just sold my Eclispe for 9500. Thinking of lowering it and putting some 18" rims on of some sort. Might just put it all down on a house though, or hell pay off my fofo. Who knows, I have options now.

my mom drives the caliber sxy and it performs hella good if that helps
