Trading in the Focus for a new Caliber R/t...Yeah or ney?

don't get a dodge, they loose there value worse than a ford. do you want more of a suv type or a car? if so go with any toyota or honda. drive them forever and they keep their resale value.

The new Scion XB is dropping at dealers in April, it is bigger than the current one (one I have looks small but is huge inside) and the resale value on Toyotas is great.

I had an 04 XB I bought for $14999 sold for $14500 a year later with 16k on it.. remember sooner of later you are going to want to get rid of it and this is where the resale value comes in because I know how it sucks owing more than it is worth been 6k upside down on a trade before.

Gonna have to agree with the others on this one. Dodges are notorious for poor resale not to mention 1,000,000+ recalls on transmissions. Look for a one year old Subaru WRX for around 18k or like someone else said the new 4-door civic si---either way you know your getting something that will retain value and probably better build quality.

Subaru Impreza wagon with every audio upgrade, and all-season mats is only $19772 brand spanking new. Those things have balls, even for the non-turbo models, all wheel drive, since you are in Ohio and it snows there, and tons of room for the kiddies. Just my .02, but this is the route I would go if I was in your situation.

This is true, but I am not doing the system at the moment. After I heard the 9 speaker Boston Acoustics in the Caliber I was like, well I guess I could sell my shit finally. So will have plenty of room for all that stuff. I am just worried about how much rooom the baby seat will take up being I have 2 other kids that are my fiances.
yea i noticed that i wasnt counting the system lol

with the fact that you have 2 other kids..... your gonna need something minivan size . the family and i( mrs. 2 kids and i ) take long distance road trips in the summer 1500+ miles round trip and i tell you there is nothing like a roomy vehicle for all your crap plus a newer quest comes with sunroofs tv's etc makes it real comfy for everyone . not mention pretty good on gas . but i understand how hard it is to let go of the vrooom thats why i have a sentra spec v for when the kids are at summer camp lol.

Might have to look into that. Subaru never even came to mind. Thanxs for the look out.

Thanks to all others as well. I do get some incentives with Chevy since my mom works for Delphi, so I get to use her option 1 discount and Chevy is running some real good sales since Presidents day. So might check into that.

What do you all think about an HHR? Kinda nice, but not real sold on the look.

Well, I think I would be ok with a type of wagon like the HHR or Vibe being it is a lot easier to access the back seat and is a hatchback. There are just so many choices, but when I get too an suv size and even the small suvs besides jeep, just seems to be out of my price range, so I know I Nissan Quest will be as well. Like I said, I am about 4gs in negetive equity being Ford dont hold value for shit! So I am thinking of looking import...........maybe. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I also have another car in the Eclispe, but my cousin is looking to take that off my hands end of summer. He really needs a good car and it is that. So that most likely will go to him. Thing is, it is paid off! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif Thing is even smaller than my Focus though, lol! Looks bigger, but is small as fawk inside!

Well thinking of just keeping the Focus for a while longer. I cant seem to get into a payment under 450 a month. I may be able to swing 400, but my negetive equity and a sprint bill in collections is killing me. So gonna pay that off and hopefully my credit rating will be over 720 again and I could get into a good interest rate. I cant get under 10 % right now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Then again, I have a 670 credit rating, which isnt all that bad for just going bankrupt 3 years ago.

Thanks for all the help guys. Apprecitate it and when I am ready to do this again, I have some idea's.

How many miles you got on that Focus?

Just hit 14000. I dont know why I cant get at least 11000 or 12000 on a trade in on it. I mean it is the ST Focus, not just a regular focus. I mean SVT Focus's held their value more than mine and the ST is .02 seconds slower. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I have every option cept leather seats. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I will say one thing from all the testing from the Impala LT, Dodge Caliber R/T, Jeep Compass and the Malibu SS, nothing hangs close to it in speed. Most drove better, but they were brand new cars. So at least I can keep the speed, lol!

if you want a hatchback, get a zx5.. or a fofo wagon.
a 5 speed wagon, in black with 5% and SAP.
Naw, I mean I like my focus, but the speed and the gear box (Like a knife slicing through melted butter) is what sold me on the car. I am not even 100% on the looks of the car. I think if I lowered it and put on some nice rims would help it out a lot.

The hatch is cool, but still too small and the wagon is just fugly!

lol.
i hate teh sedans, but i dont mind the 2 door hatch.

i have seen some sexi wagons, but stock they are lame..
I actually wont go to anything else unless it is a sedan or 4 door hatch. I dont like 2 doors at all anymore. Just too hard to get in and out, plus I have a baby on the way, so would be a PITA!

If you go to focal jet, or focusfantiacs, there are some sexi sedans! Plus my ST would smoke your hatch! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
