Trade SPG555 for SA8's

Thinking about trading my BNIB SPG555 s4 for 2 SA8's d2. I want to build a smaller ported box than the 2cf that the Boston requires. That would take up to much of my trunk space. I was thinking of offering to trade my boston for the two SA8's plus 50 on my end.

My question is, does that sound like a fair deal? Both parties would cover their own shipping. I haven't seen a lot of the v2 sa8's on here. Or everyone has d4's. I need d2's.

why not just buy a spg-tr direct from boston and build a 1 cube box tuned to 30hz

I probably wouldn't do it. Mainly because I think those SPG555s are getting harder to find.

x2 there no longer on sale for 229 etc the few left ar back to 400-500 a piece really an amazing woofer that you wont find anymore

lowest price i see is 375

I didn't realize they weren't selling them for $229 anymore. Didn't realize the value had went up so much on them. Might just sell this one outright then and buy some SA-8's with money left over. Thanks

why not just buy a spg-tr direct from boston and build a 1 cube box tuned to 30hz

With that though, I don't think I'll get the same output running at 1000rms vs running the 2 SA8's at 1400 in a 1cf ported

well maybe not but they are 2 different subs. with different goals. 13" vs 2 8's less cone area. you will want around 1.3 cube. i know double07 makes a sick dual sa output. I also know @mylows10 ; had some ab vlf 8's that were his personally selling for a great price

I was definitely looking at those vfl 8's but couldn't find any info on them on what the minimum size ported would be. And I don't know how safe they would be putting 1400 to them. AB doesn't even have them on their website yet

also @SPLaudio ; was building custom 8's that could take the 1400rms np i would hit him up also. i personally run 2 spg-555's on 2 spg-tr's now and 2 custom spl audio subs in my other 2 cars

real hard on 2k it gets crazy loud. i love it small and powerful.

I was definitely looking at those vfl 8's but couldn't find any info on them on what the minimum size ported would be. And I don't know how safe they would be putting 1400 to them. AB doesn't even have them on their website yet

.65 each is min. But .85 or 1.0 will make them hit lower. 1400 rms is fine on a pair I ran 2200 on mine

on my 8s i have a guy running 3200rms on a pair, but my 8s are only d4.

i just reconed 2 sa8v1's into d4's will let go for $200 pair!

No way on earth that I would trade an SPG555 for SA-8s....
