you don't really need to most of the time. to pull out the old deck, you'll need a coat hanger or something similar bent into a U shape. there hsould be four holes in face of the stock radio. when youput the coat hanger in, a spring will catch. then you pull... simple as that.

the factory unit was removed and a pioneer tape deck was put in. i cant fiqure out how to get it out without breaking the dash.

usually they come with a set of thin metal pieces (keys)... you slide those int eh side and pull... should slide out...

as long as it is not bolted down in the dash (I don't believe it would be) then its just a matter of pulling it out with the installation keys.
