I have TMA 500 watt amp currently going to two 10in jbls. I recently have gone though some turmoil trying to figure out whats wrong with my system. Subs, amp , headunit, wire. Well i found that it was at least partly the wire, it was melted so i replaced it. Now the subs work but I can't turn the input level/ gain up past 1/3 the way high....is this a sign that the amp damaged

whats stopping me is it feel like the knob gets hung up and when i get past it and turn the music back on the subs dont work

any one any idea why there seems to be this sudden limitation on the amp after melting some wires...new fuses do anything?

Unhook the amp take it out get some electrical contact spray made for attenuators(knobs/dials) and spray the knob to clean out any crap thats gotten in there, then get some lubricant also made for this and lube it...see if that helps... Parts Express has these....some are expensive though...you can also try a local electronics store..
