Torres v/s Bass Box Pro v/s WinISD

I recently built my enclosure for two Boston G1's using what the Torres Calculator told me.

2.3 cu ft

32Hz tune

two 4" ports 24.75" long. I had to go to these sized ports to the the port area into the port area range that Torres recommends.

Today I was modeling it in WinISD and Bass Box Pro and none of the numbers match on the ports.

2.3 Cu Ft

32 Hz Tune

Bass Box Pro says two ports 3" diameter by 13.26" long

WinISD says two ports 3" diameter by 13.91" long

Torres says two ports 3" diameter by 14.68" long, but the port area range is well below the recommended. So I assume that WinISD and BBP are below the acceptable range as well. I know the rule is 9" to 13" of port per sq ft of enclosure, so which one is right? I am wondering how far off my enclosure is now.

Indeed there is not really a "rule" for port area. There is the idea that you can go off the 11-16 range and in many cases it will "work" to an extent. Just not the most optimal way to go about it.

WinISD says rear port velocity is 34.844m/s at around 26.5 Hz with two 3" ports 13.91" long and 19.600m/s at 26 hz with two 4" ports 25.7" long

So the Torres is not the way to go then, other than just for some reference info?
