so. im in kansas and the tornado sirens are goin off..... anyone here been in a tornado?
awhile ago i was coming home from minnesota, and a storm had hit there, but it kept going east, so i was basically following it home. well i get to detroit and 94 is flooded out and i have to get off the freeway. it's 11 at night. a tornado had just hit not too long ago. well i had to get off on livernois which is right in the middle of detroit in an unsavory neighborhood. well all the electricity was out so i'm driving down a dark street with looters running down the road with loot. it was like new orleans after katrina.so. im in kansas and the tornado sirens are goin off..... anyone here been in a tornado?

true that. i'm glad i've never had to experience one. seen a couple from afar, but never actually had to deal with oneProperty can usually be replaced.
Tornados are less destructive of property, but they tend to tear lives apart, literally.
With most hurricanes, you have weeks to prepare and get out of the area. With your average tornado, you have less then 30 seconds.
