Torn Voicecoil

So this is the final story. I had this noise coming from a sub like there was a piece of paper vibrating against it (the same noise...) i pulled out the sub from the box and ran it at low volume just so i could figure out where the sound was coming from and it was the voicecoil.... torn maybe? partially blown? i've played this sub for about 2 hours... not even probably... the sound was there as soon as i played the stereo the first time and i didn't crank it or nothin'. what a pissoff... i barely think it'll be covered by the store i bought it from. am i screwed? should i just dish out the 100 bux to get a new one?

talkin' about the Kicker CompVR 12's i just bought.... man, that blows. but i called kicker and they said take them to an authorized dealer for an OTC exchange... good customer support i must say.

replace it, the voice coil sounds like it may be warped. if they let you replace it then go for it, if not, get one for cheaper from ebay

yea they should give you another sub for free
