Topic: Philosophical Conflict in Christianity (Focusing on the 2nd-4th Century)

eh... I do what I can :/

Personally.. I was expecting flames and other crap... enough to help me get through wasting the day away... but I've been kinda disappointed on that front... heh

so what your saying is your entire goal of putting that on this forum was to stir up crap and cause drama?
Exactly.. How can one be so smart... yet, so dumb at the same time? Write a book for crissake, leave us lesser people alone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

That's not my goal on this forum, that was my goal on this post.

It was also a "fisher" post to see if anyone else was interested in this type of material though.

EDIT: and please don't put me on a pedestal CrownVic... Being over analytical of everything I come accross isn't really being better than anyone else.

I left a large part of the council of Nicea out, because it would have taken up at least 6-7 pages more. I wanted to put it in though, because a lot went on at the council. I breifly made a reference to it when I talked about how Constantine had to step in and side with Irenaeus...

It also left my paper w/out the flavor of how much of a dick Irenaeus was. He was like.. the father of following things out of blind faith, because he knew that he couldn't keep the religion together any other way.

The sad part is, his construction of the bible is what made Christianty last so long, but today we suffer from it, because we (Christians) really yearn for a more Thomas-based bible due to the skepticism of our culture and need for rational theory.

16 pages is hardly a thesis, and your introductory sentence is terrible, which is the only thing I read...because it was terrible and automatically assumed the rest of the paper was too

It's a philosophy thesis... not a research paper.

You are supposed to put your own interpretation into the paper. Of course I'm going to use personal pronouns.
