I left a large part of the council of Nicea out, because it would have taken up at least 6-7 pages more. I wanted to put it in though, because a lot went on at the council. I breifly made a reference to it when I talked about how Constantine had to step in and side with Irenaeus...
It also left my paper w/out the flavor of how much of a dick Irenaeus was. He was like.. the father of following things out of blind faith, because he knew that he couldn't keep the religion together any other way.
The sad part is, his construction of the bible is what made Christianty last so long, but today we suffer from it, because we (Christians) really yearn for a more Thomas-based bible due to the skepticism of our culture and need for rational theory.
