Top Ten???

i like audioque hdc3 18's.
i just happen to be selling one lol
wouldnt put that on top tho bro... it's a great sub for what it is, a budget minded SPL sub...

i would list some top ones like Incriminator audio death penalty, DC level 5-6, SSA Zcon, AA Mayhem, FI BTL, or even a set of atomics

for spl Digital Designs, Dc audio, Fi audio, B2 audio and Sundown are all at the top of their game atm.

Also watch out for Incriminator Audio is ******

The sub above is all real nice audioque is all a great company but more budget spl stuff.

Sry for leaving a general question. I have a Ford Escape 4 cyclinder wit a small battery smh...but i added the battery of an Grand Marquis to help out with power adding a Yellow Top pretty soon and upgrading my Alt a lil bit later. I currently have an Hifonics bxi2608 but i plan on upgrading that to better suit the sub i get. budget i dnt wanna spend no more than $600. i want the sub to be between 2000-4000 rms.... the sub would b a daily and will b ran at 1ohm or lower. Sub will be in a ported box.

I want to upgrade to a 18" bcuz me and my bro have a lil competition between us and eventually i wanna enter my setup in a event one day

Having an 18" sub will not make you louder in most cases. Design and build of the enclosure per the application will do more for you in that regard then sub size will.

However, with your "needs" and that high RMS you have limited options. A 3" coil sub is out of the question at that point to be honest. You will get people to chime in saying other wise, but a 3" coil has its limits regardless of what others think their magical sub is doing/taking.

Going with a 4" coil will help, but that limits your options drastically. I would suggest going with a custom build in this case. Contact SPLaudio on this forum and let him get you some quotes and options.

Thanks alot everyone im goning back to the drawing boards and starting from scratch....

this time imma do alot more research on wat i buy

once again thanks for all your help

Just a thought for the op. It is much easier to use several motors to move air than one huge one. 4 1000watt subs will normally get louder than a 4000 watt sub, (with equal cone area.)

Also you should figure out how much room you have for a box.
