Top 5 NFL Receivers 2000-Present

Now... let me ask you guys this. What's your guys opinion on Roy Williams?
This is pretty much the whole reason I started this thread. This dude is trying to tell me that Roy Williams is better than Randy Moss, Steve Smith, T.O., etc.

He claims if Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams were put on the Patriots right now, that their offense would be even better than it is with Moss and Stallworth.
You must be having this debate with iceteebone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

kinda difficult comparing roy williams and calvin johnson with moss and to.. its just young talent vs. experienced talent. now if youre gonna decide which you would rather have on your team of course youd have to go with the more experienced talent, its just logical that way. but if youre gonna decide on raw talent, too hard to tell.

Nah, even Iceteebone recognizes that Moss is better than Roy. This guy i'm debating with is just a biased moron.

That'd be amazing.
And I still don't see how Rod Smith wouldn't be on a list. Despite his retirement, his performance from 1997-2006 was amazing.
Very True about Rod Smith, although he's not yet retired officially. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
He's just on IR for hip surgery he had back in February.

Top 4 are easy:

Marvin

TO

Moss

Holt

I'll put up a few names to be considered:

Driver (solid since 02)

Coles (solid since 02)

Horn (solid since 00 but look at 01, 02, 04 - 1400 yds 12 td in that year)

Keyshawn Johnson (if you open it up to include 98-present he should definately be on the list)

Rod Smith (homer pick) - but look at years 97-present he has had solid years almost every year up until now.

Moulds - 98, 00, 02, 04 are all great years.. it should be noted that he was once one of the most feared WRs on a terrible team so he didn't have the luxury of a Brady or Manning.

Chambers ( had a great career going through 05 then dropoff)

Jimmy Smith (would be an undoubtable top 5 if you looked at 96-05) the dude was a flat out stud he had 9 out 10 1000 + yds 5 + td seasons in a 10 year stretch. He was the Chris Carter of the late 90s and is highly under-rated and not mentioned by most people.

Toomer - really solid from 99 -03

GTFO whomever doesn't have Marvin on their list cough * Colt 96 * Cough... As you obviously know nothing about football. His stats are the best and most consistant across the entire NFL, kiss my *** Holt

no Hines Ward?

no Burress?
You have a point about Ward just didn't want to re-write the bible in doing so above..

Burress is AVG at best, a Quitter, and belongs in the same category as David Boston, Peerless Price, Darrell Jackson, Derik Mason, and Jerry Porter.

Burress is actually better than average. Yea he quit on a play. It happens.

I wouldn't put him with Randy Moss. But this year he is having a damn good season. He has alot of aptitude. All he has do do is apply everything.
