i just thought there are some great tools out there and a thread about them might be worth while, here is a tool i have known about for a long time that is good for many many jobs. do you know of anything everyy guy/ car audio nut should own?

Carpentry is a whole 'nother discussion, but for basic electrical work, a lot of problems can be tackled with a DMM, a knowledge of Ohm's Law and some common sense. I'm amazed at people that try to install their own stuff and don't even own one...c'mon, this isn't optional, it's required.

how bout a sticky on basic electrical for us then?

with lots of pics, i dont really want to go to skool to learn how to install my new speakers

There's already so much out there written about basic electrical theory, to rewrite it here would be pointless and not worth the time to do it.

BCAE1.com and the12volt.com are good places to start, as well as the basic stuff on the MECP tests.
