took some pics of my re mx

personally, i think its a waste of a vette also. i'm one of those firm believers in not having things handed to you, that way you can learn the value of things, but some disagree. no need for an MX in that car. second, its a waste of a sub because that sub can perform on over 3,000 watts.

but, another mans garbage is another mans treasure. to each his own.

Have you seen/tested/tried these subs w/ 3000w?

Garbage?

analogy. i wasnt referring to his equipment as being garbage.

second, both dirk and JR from US/RE say the MX and the XXX series can technically handle over 5,000 watts....not recommended obviously, and youre risking shit when you do that, but to get the MX/XXX series moving you need minimum the RMS (1,500/2,000) if not double. it will sound great on less, but these subs are built to handle a LOT of power, JR will tell you that, which is one of the reasons the price is so high. i could have sworn i saw a youtube video with an XXX on 5,000 eating it like candy..

i had my XXX on 1,500 and i know this ***** can handle much, much, much more...which is why i went and got the saz-3000 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...installing in a week! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

then i'm going from a 5.35cu sealed box, to a 9cu@34hz ported //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i agree. Big subs take a hell of alot more power to get them moving. At 1000 watts those subs aren't even budging. Thats why i will never have anything bigger than a type x.
