For what its worth, I had thyroid cancer. I'm sure your small little brain might understand that the thyroid regulates metabolisim, and I no longer have a thyroid. I am overweight, but i've come to a place in my life where I know I will always be in some form or fashion due to the disease. So joke about it all you want, it doesn't bother me. If that makes you feel good about yourself, then enjoy.
