To use or not to use???

Me and some friends of mine were working on getting the RCAs and speaker wire run in my 2003 mustang and while we were removing all the factory mach 460 components, a question came up and we weren't sure what the right way to do it was. I am putting an extra set of alpine components I have for when people are riding in the back seat and my buddy suggested that I mount the components in the factory encloser that is mounted in the trunk under the package tray. He suggested that we remove the stock speakers and amplifiers from it and mount the components in the sealed encloser. Anybody ever done this before??? just wondering if it worth screwin with.

Thanks

Bob

i would say go for it. if you car already has a designated area for that stuff then why not use it. plus it wouldn't hurt to take out parts of the stock system since you don't really need them, and as long as you don't tear anything up doing so. also will save you trunk space
