ok so i fiberglassed my front door panels to have custom tweeter and midbass pods.....tweeter pods came out perfect but....

i had my brother do the sanding and trimming on the inside of the midbass mounting rings and he accidentally took to much off and now the opening is about 1/4" to big and the midbass mounting screws are not going to hit the wood all the way around....

Can any fiberglass guru's on here offer me an easy way to fix this......as i have already completely finished the panels and would like to not have to sand everything back off to repair the stupid mistake that we didnt catch until it was too late.........

cut 4 1" by 1" squares of 3/8" (or what ever you have) ply epoxy or CA glue them to the back side of your mounting ring in line with the mounting hole spacing, leave a 1/2" showing, then just use longer screws

ok yea the baffle ring will have to be a last resort because those pictures were from about 2 weeks ago just after the panels had been coated with filler primer and wet sanded......they are completed finished now....painted and cleared.....and I DO NOT want to have to redo that **** lol.....ugh

yea well ****.....just ran into a problem with that QUICK FIX.....the rear of the pod is sealed and gonna stay that way.....so no way to screw the little 1" squares onto the back of the mounting ring......not gonna trust glue so i might just have to **** it up and redo them...... F....M....L....!!!!!!
