just wondering... ppl and government want to spend billions on funding for NASA and space exploration, to find the existance to life or other beings, and it just will never happen ... the milky way is just one of trillions of galaxies and ill put this clear and straight.. lil off topic...

the milky way is 100,000light years long which is less than .00001 of the entire galaxy

100,000 light years = 6 billion miles in a SINGLE light year at 36,000mph... compose the both of above and do the math...

and if you dont wanna do the math ...

1 light year would take at least 18,000 years to get to.. the milky way is 100,000 years long... and is less than 1% of the galaxy...\

just things that interest me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

voyager 1

travels at 36,000 mph and it has taken 30 years just to get out of this solar system..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Outersolarsystem-probes-4407.jpg

and how does this compare to the rest of the universe??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hubble2005-01-barred-spiral-galaxy-NGC1300.jpg

... and that last pic states u can center voyager 1 in the middle and the rest of the galaxy is billions of light years away... in every direction.. so confusing

I think space exploration is a truly marvelous step in the advancement of our race and science in general, but I think we should explore our own planet first. I mean, we still don't even know what lies beneath our oceans. I'm sure there's so much cool shit yet to be discovered down there I think about it often whenever I see deep sea footage from submarines or Oil rigs.

For example:

actually we do know whats below our oceans... and lake mich.. whick is a google in itself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But the deep sea is easy... all you need is a sub and a few divers.... did ya'll not see the time differentium of a light year and how large ( that we know of !!! ) the galaxy is in light years????

shit well if ET can travel 50 million light years to see us, maybe we can travel a few million miles to meet lol... the space is absolutely non reachable ... 100 generations beyond all of our lives and we will still not hit ONE light year..... and considering the milky way alone is 100,000 light years away is quite a reach

i feel we should explore more on earth, regan started all this space shit, we dont have the technology for it yet, well i wouldnt say started, but pushed it alot
x2

You know there is this thread about pet peeves, and capitalizing every ****ing word is one of mine.....But onto the topic, did you hear about how they just now discovered new organisms in the upper atmosphere?(maybe troposphere i cant remember the exact location). There is still shit here on earth they haven't discovered, so i think it will be a long time until we find something else

sh!t earth hasnt discovered yet??? lol yea you could say that...

going back to the original post... were barely out of our own planetary system and its taken 30 yrs

- to get to the end of our milky way will take 18000 years .. and out milky way is less that 1% of the solar system... that we can see ... sooo about 1,899,837,930,194 years away.... we might see something... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Reagan didn't start jack shit, this all started with Kennedy, not the POS Reagan.

blllaaahhhhh!!!....

i dont wanna turn this into debate thread

so whos gonna be around for about 2 billionyears so we can figure this galaxy out?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
