as it says, whats your guys opinions on this?

im about 50/50 on it, the last set i bought were like 12 bucks but leaked air (out of a sealed box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif )

although i had a set that held banana clips and leaked nothing.

anyway, im building a ported box for a mag 12" 2 @ 30hz and trying to decide whether its worth it to pick up another set or just drill a hole and run the wire out.

terminals makes it look cleaner IMO, but do whatever, just caulk it for no air leaks

don't do it.

silicone and a drill bit = best connection possible.

I build an enclosure for the terminal. No leaks, no flexing and the connection is good enough that there's nothing resembling a loss that could be even remotely audible.

how you do build an enclosure for it? do you make a baffle around the backside of it and only leave the + and - coming out?

im looking for the most visually appealing design overall, but this is just my test box to decide whether i want to build a much more expensive corian version of it.

In a pinch 5/16" threaded rod, flat washers, nuts/bolts will do the trick.

Kinda like that. This particular one was a bit of an after thought. On my current box I built the little tray for the inside part of the box and thenglued it on to the back panel. Drilled some 1/2" pilot holes and then used a flush trim bit on the router table to make the cutout for the terminal cups themselves. The inner tray provides the surface to trim to.
