I aquired this amp a year ago and never tested it. It was given to me by a friend and said it worked good. When I hooked it up it turned on but no sound, turned off the key, checked the wiring turned it on again and it played this time. As I turned up the volume (about a 1/4 turn of the volume) it blew the batt. fuse. My truck was off, I think i starved the amp. Anyways I replaced the fuse with a 200 amp turned it on and with in a few seconds my truck was hotboxed. It's an AMPLE EXONIC 1500DX. Should i send it out for repair or is this a crapy design and should just throw it out.

I'll prob. just fix it and sell it as refurbished. I dont have the electrical to back it up anyways I just wanted to test my new enclosure for my MAG V3.

Ouch! It looks like you feel victim to low voltage where a row of FETS and possibly some resistors and diodes decided to blow in lieu of your amplifier's low voltage protection kicking in.
