i am building a box for 2 type r 12" and the box came out to be about 1.7 ft^3 each sub. is this to much will it sound bad or damage the subs? thanks

ported or seald? What is it going to be tuned to? how much port area?

I wouldn't think so. you would deffinently get more output ported if that's what your looking for.
