ya I know, I don't do that on regular basis, I was testing the new alt to see if it made a difference vs my old 90a one. It did, gets much louder before I get bad voltage drop. luckily that's way beyond normal listening volume.

Sorry in previous post I put model but wrong letters. AP30001 is what I have. Here is where I bought mine they have a great price for it, and it's the black style. s/h wasn't even that bad.

which AB model was it?
my whole outlook on these amps is this. they are fucking cheap to buy. what is the motto to live by in life? "you get what you pay for"

im not saying these aren't good for a budget system but if you have a few extra dollars to spend why not get something that is built well with good quality parts.
I'm not pulling the whole 3000w out of this, only running it at about 1500w, set with a multimeter. so hopefully it will last longer, as long as I quit under volting it lol.

Still don't have a problem with mine. When i get my alt in, I'll try this baby at 1 ohm burps but I do have rise so its probably at 2 ohms because right now I have my subs wired at 4 ohms and getting 6 ohms with rise.

I think even though these amps have cheap quality and parts, if they stand up to the test of abuse from competitors and time then why not get them? Why would they be a bad investment? I could care less about how its made, if it works and is at a good price then I'll take it. It could be made of shit... but i would rather not because of the smell and mess.

what amperage alt are you getting? I bought a 160A and it's still not enough power for this beast. I do still need to upgrade the big three though, and thinking about adding a second battery in back which should help immensely.

i run a 30001 with a brand new dodge 90amp alt, stock battery and a c&d tech liberty 1000 in the trunk on a 3sec burp at idle i dont drop below 13v. playing a loud song full tilt i dont drop below 12.8v after 30secs.

dodge alts have always been strong for me way stronger than 100+ gms. but its all cause of the 95lb STRONG battery in my trunk.

The new RD Audio looks like another amp I seen last winter.

This pic was the new AP amp from the factory that made the new current AP amps that recently came out.

here is the one from RD Audio

Looks like Ap amps have something in common!
