To deaden or not to deaden? (poll)

well i have a 95 accord, and shes seen her better days. I already have my system in it, but i want to deaden the car.. Now beings as i have no clue on how long she will last, should i just wait this car out until i get a new one or spend all the time and money on deading this one??

Ya i have a little over $100 in each door.. had some on my trunk but pulled it and used for the doors as well as i will be sealing of into the cabin

Weve all spent hundreds if not thousands, if not tens of thousands on car audio that depreciated and we dont ever see that money again. Who the hell cares about $200 in deadner??

Contact Ruday @ ramm audio, hes selling bstock deadner for $65 for 62.5 sq feet. I bought 4 rolls, if you care about the cash. You could do all your doors and your trunk easy with one roll

if you dont think the car will last, y bother deadening it. i know i would have deadened my car if i would have thought it wouldent last. i have well over 1200 bucks worth of deadening in my DD. if deadening is a must for you, go with some edead or other ebay deadners. they work, (not the best, but they will do the job) and can save you some $$$, but really, if your driving a 95 honda, use the money you were gona spend on deadner and save up to buy a better car. you can do better than a accord. just my 2 cents.

Just get a bulk pack or something of regular damplifier. Pretty cheap.

What the hells wrong with an accord? There cheap reliable and great on gas, easy as poo to fix. Hell ive got a nice Infiniti but Id prefer my 88 Crx over it anyday

yah i love my car itslef, its just older and i dont know how long she will last lol.... she has a weird smell coming from the engine compartment when i slam on my brakes so i dont know what thats all about, and i have some rust but what honda owner doesnt lol

I own a sound deadening company so I am obviously biased, but I would never think of putting an aftermarket sound system in my car with out sound deadning.

If you think about all the things we spend money on that we never get back, you may as well never leave the house!

Food, gas, entertainment?

All things that add to the quality of our lives that we chose to drop come cash on and don't get much in return form.

Sure, we HAVE to eat food, but really, oatmeal and chicken breasts and apples would be a fine diet. MOst of us eat better tasting and more expensive food though. Mostly becuase it brings us pleasure.

Same thing with audio, it brings us pleasure. The better the acoustic reproduction, or the louder the bass the more pleasure it brings us. Why not spend some money on somethign that will enhance our experience and increase our pleasure?

This is after all, a hobby that requires that we spend s little bit of money to see some rewards. Why go half assed on it?

Sure, I'll have the filet mignon, lpbster tail and a side of cheerios please...
