Im lookin for a nice setup for my girlfriends carand can get r's pretty cheap now.. Due to marks experience withh these subs especially ill have no prob. givin him some cash....The question is how much power do you all run, i know ive heard the tcab's dont need as much power ( only 500-1000 for 2 ) but i now have 2 mc1000d's that are not in use, im assuming there around 8-900 rms, after volt drop n rise... thanx

we clamped my 2500d at 1600+ @ 1ohm. and i beat hard on my 15 type R

i ran a bxi1606 to two type Rs in a tcab. i got a hifonics XX-hercules on the way for the type Rs

ok now for my second question... does the 15 really take power that much better than the 12 due to the vc size? if i could fit 2 15s in a tcab i would, the gf wants the 12's but who cares im buying it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif the memphis' strapped i heard will do around 1800-2000 witth voltage up...

u'll be fine and yes the 15s take a beating. u'll be fine wit the power u have. u can strap both amps on 1 15 if u like. it'll handle it.

ive been told the 15 R will take alot of power. i dont know how much more then a 12 inch...... a 15 R and a good box will wang and will make ur girl happy for sure.

well those amps strapped might be pushing it daily, the electrical is a few steps ahead of what those amps pulls together full tilt, but 2k rms on a r ( in a tcab or not is quite a bit for daily, on top of that from what im used to hearing i like 2 sub setups bettr than one. And unless someone knows something i dont im assuming i'll get a little more output outta the 2 12's over the single 15 with the amps strapped @2 ohm, both in tcabs
