Here's with the center clear part tinted and emblems/keyhole shaved:

I like this look the best. I would get red bulbs for the top turn signals, and tint the center clear parts red before smoking them though...

There is a spray you can buy from your local hobbyshop that is used on R/C cars. All i remember but its called transparent black, it doesnt need any clearcoat either. I think its called Testors Trasnparent black, comes in 3oz cans. Its wayy better than niteshades

you have a few options...all depends on how much you want to spend.

Their are two companies that offer smoked film that is durable..rockblocker and laminex. The advantage to this is that since it is only a film, it can be removed without much effort. This is good if you get a ticket or just decide you don't like it after all.

Your other option is having them painted. The two best ways have been mentioned. Either buy a can of nightshades (made by vht) or create a mixture of black paint and clear coat. If you are not familiar with painting and want it to come out real smooth and shiny looking you are best off getting it done at a bodyshop. If you do it yourself, do light coats and let them dry before putting on the next coat. Once you get the desired darkness, you should wetsand them and then do a few coats of clear and then wetsand again. Finish up by polishing them.

i used nightshades .. best if you clearcoat after it.. mine are more satin than gloss.. i still have to do the clear.. the paint was like 15ish shipped off ebay made by VHT .. we did 3 cars with it so you could do your own lights and charge a friend to do theirs

shops can also do it, basically just a clear with a hint of base coat of whichever color you choose

visability is fine
