Only cost $5 too. Spray on window tint from local hobby shop FTMFW.

Believe it or not, even in the day the tail lights are still visible as ever...will get pics 2nite. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm actually VERY pleased with how they turned out. Pictures don't do them justice, at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

very nice, though i'd like to see how they look with the park lights on in daylight, then the brake pressed in daylight, swap out your reverse lights to LED bulbs(Much better visibility).

also do the same for night pics with the lights.

did you clear coat them? i'd like to see closer pics of the layers of paint. wondering if they are glossy or kinda flat.

nice job.

btw, if you feel that the light is a little dim and could use more brightness, just get LED replacement BULBS and it will clear that up.

I did NOT clear coat them..should I? I didn't see anything at the hobby shop...I got the idea from 6thgenaccord.com...they have a DIY tail light tint. I just made sure they were clean, and spray evenly.

i clear coated mine with about 8 layers of clear coat. then i wet sanded the **** out of them to remove all orange peel. then buffed them out and now they have a glossy look. makes them look more professional. plus clear coat can take the abuse of the elements. as for the hobby stuff i don't know if it could take that abuse. maybe it will maybe it won't. the stuff i used was Summit VH1 Nightshades with some clear coat i bought at an auto part store. don't remember what brand it was.

Think 2500 grit would do the job? I'll definitely pick up some clear coat tomorrow.....

The stuff I used (can't remember the name) was what dozens of other people have used...came in a 3oz spray can.

this is how mine came out with a lot of clear and buffing. my car is dirty cause it rained yesterday so i gave the light a quick wipe down with a towel.

mine are just smoked.

Looks Clean, i like it! I really like how you took it all the way across the trunk. I have seen others do only the side lights //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif, yours look way better! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

came out **** good from what I can see. How many cans did you end up using? I did one of my past vehicles with that stuff but used about 3 cans. Now I get my tails tinted with laminex.
