I would like to know how the eliteness of ca.com implements time alignment or your general thoughts about it.

measurement of normal head position to drivers. Some processors use distance, some use time. There are converters for distance-to-time. Go from there.

I fiddle with it. The biggest win for me is delaying the fronts

until the sub gets there. I basically set the rear fill to around 10ms

less then the front. I manipulate the front right delay to try to get

a better sound stage (slightly less delay than the front left).

The base delay for the fronts is about 70ms (edit: oops I mean inches) in my car. Of course

zero delay on the sub.

I wish I had imprint some times, but at least I have the ability

to store and recall 6 different layouts. I'm still learning and playing with

time alignment.

Sorry, but there is sooo much gayness in the lounge that it overflowed and spilled out. Also, the audio discussion section of this forum is my lounge.

I'm not worrying about anything. IMO, EQ is the last thing to worry about... My question about "what's done before T/A" should've covered that department.

Not any one single tuning tool or install tip will fix any shitty setup alone and a shitty setup is not case/underlying assumption here.

I use T/A on my 880 to get the front stage centered and bass up front. Seems to have worked pretty well. I've still never taken the time to EQ L & R independently though...
