Ticket for Slamming

This happened back in April but finally got a outcome and decided to share my story.

Back in April

Driving back home from school today at 4pm on the crowded main street windows down, and some cop pulls me over. Guy came out of nowhere, just all of a sudden saw him in my mirror. Guy comes up and told me "he could here me a mile away" . Didnt think he was gonna give me a ticket put he took my DL back to his car and 5 minutes later came back with a noise ordinance ticket. I guess if they can here it 40 feet away they can pull you over. The dumb cop didn't give me the piece of paper that lists the fines for each offense so I don't know how much its gonna be. Prolly am gonna go to court anyways even though it wont effect my driving record.
Anybody who wants to know, the song I was slamming for Young Jeezy -Hypnotize on my single Alpine Type-R 12" in my custom ported 2.0 cu.ft 34 Hz with a Kicker ZX750.1 on it.

Ticket was gonna be like $200 dollars so I went to court

So in court about 2 months ago:

I went to court on it and pleaded not guilty. Judge was a real d-bag and openly stated he "hated people with systems in their cars" so I knew I had no chance with him. The original fine was $125, plus since I was in court had to pay the $75 court fee. So I was like f that,(that was what the original ticket was for) and was ready to go to trial.

So on Friday I had to go to this "pre-trial meeting" with the prosecutor today. She gave me the option of delayed justification of 6 months in which I cant get another noise complaint, and a fine of $100 or 10 hours of community service. I am going to do the community service and do Habitat for Humanity and help build houses. I am happy with the outcome. Was planing on doing the Habitat anyways this fall cause I like building stuff and wanted to help out.

End of story, learned my lesson about not slamming and keep my volume lower now, (even though it was in the middle of the afternoon on the main 4 lane street).

similar story happened to my stepbrother, who has no system at all besides a bose, but the real noise was my bestfriend behind him who was slammin, but turned his system off in time.

all that effort to save $200 and you still have to do 10 hours of community service, should have just paid the fine and moved on with your life

nah, I had my 12" Hype-R in a ported.

Wasn't really a lot of effort. Had to show up to the city building twice and it took about 15 minutes each time. Nothing wrong with helping out people in need.

That's why I'm getting something small that beats good inside the car but doesn't bother the public. I had 2 15's a while back and after 2 tickets, I decided I'd quit trying to impress and piss people off and get something that actually sounded good inside the car.

I hear you on that. I was off from college from the summer with nothing to do and so I was more than happy to show up. I would have paid the ticket but the penalty did not fit the crime Like I said before A)was at 4pm in the afternoon in the city B) only victim was the officer with nothing better to do and C) would have been on my record unless I fought it. I may go into a government position after school and don't want any misdemeanors on my record regardless of what they are entitled of.
