Thumping noise from subwoofer output

Hello. I have an kdc-mp5032 kenwood cd player and i get a thumping noise from my subwoofer output. Its ran to an aura amp the only time i notice it is when the cd is switching songs the pause between tracks and its loud and repetitive thump thump thump any ideas?

Well that happend on mine but it didnt play anything at all? so maybe its not just a thought though.

Are you certain that it's eminating from the sub outputs on the deck and not being caused by the amp itself?

Generally a repetitive "thump thump" noise is indicative of a bad ground in my experience...

I have heard old worn out cd players do this. Not familiar with what year that model is

If the thumping is occuring at a fairly high rate - say 200 times per minute - its your player.

when does it "bump" is it when your driving or sitting still if its when your driving or your car is moving at all check your ground i had the same problem

If it was the unit itself creating the issue due to worn-out internals wouldn't it most likely reproduce the anomoly through all of the preouts rather than only the sub preouts?

usaully its a low frequency noise, he probably has just subs and other speakers ran through the deck, so more than likely its just not as audible

You could be getting ground noises. Try grounding your rca's on the back of your head unit. But I did what is showed in this thread and fixed the problem.
