Thumbs down to my RSD's!

I've been running them for about 9 days and they sounded really good when they worked. I have 2 sets and one tweeter is blown. It could be a blown xover, but I really don't care which one it is. The bottom line is I have no tweeter. Another tweet is slowly going out. The other 2 tweets are good, but it's time to move on to a different set. I know for sure the other 2 tweeters will go out eventually. The mids are still good. There's no user error here and no clipping. IMO they just could not take the power. I gave them 100 watts rms to each side, a total of 400 rms for 2 sets. I think the Xenon tweeters were way better than these. They played strong and never blew. I'm not saying they're better, but I've ran some Kicker KS comps on the same power and never had a problem.

it is definitly user error.

many people run 150w rms per side to theres and have no problems.

I wanted to like mine too, but if they stopped working I can't do anything about that. I've been installing car audio for 16 years. There's no way I screwed up a little RSD install. Maybe I got a bad batch, but to all of you future users, I wish you GOOD LUCK. He says user error, but I wonder why that same error didn't happen with my BA Pros, MB Quart, Perfect 6.1, PG Xenon and Alpine Type R that I still own by the way? Don't get it twisted, I'm not mad at all. I never expected greatness from a $87.00 set and I'm not the first one to report this issue.

and it doesnt matter how long you have been installing audio. could have just been a simple mistake,

That is incorrect. Ive seen several people speak of problems from new sets.\

I've owned 2 sets and got lucky.

PS, Im 33 and have been doing installs since 14. was I employed by a shop? no, but I still did installs.

ill back this dude up. I have had some problems with these comps...(tweeters blowing)...i have not had this problem with any of my previous comp sets.
