yes rap DOES have a lot of cateogories. but 3 6 was ALWAYS has for the G-crowd.
1) they are the more popular in that type of rap (kinda like Common/Kweli with that kinda rap)

2) they did not get popular/mainstream until this year when thier most known unknowns came out.

yeah i feel you but even before they where know rappers. But 36 is not and never will be mainstream. I mean just listen to there outro's. They are like UGk (pre-free pimp c movement). U will never 36 for a ipod commerical or a burger king commerical. SHit they will not even do any clothing ads. That do not just fit in. I mean look at most of there album cover. I mean how many time have u seen dj paul or juice Jay on tv hosting a show or doing a guest apperance.

Sippin on Sizzurp is the song that made them popular. It would **** if they went to G-Unit, but all I care about is waiting for Project Pat's Crook by the Book to come out.

yup a lot of groups start out that way... take a look at alot of those ex hardcore punk bands... "F the man, we will never sell out, WERE HARDCORE!!!! corporate america can **** on my thingie" what happens? they get a hint of exposure on the radio (the awful KROQ in my area), they turn emo.

in my world... you hear them on the regular rotation via the radio, its mainstream.

First off I highly doubt Papoose would ever join Gunit, He is way above there level in terms of rhymes. Also, the only person I see 50 signing soon is Saigon. Saigon is redic with his rhymes, Has alot to say, And knows how to say it.
