Thought I could outgrow it... thought it would go away

I’m a long-time reader, first time registering poster to CA.com. I’m JC, and I’m a car audio addict.

I first started playing with electronics and stereo equipment before I was old enough to drive. For 3 years during college I did sales and install at Circuit City, and actually made enough to pay for all the crap I bought at a discount. Don’t laugh, I actually learned quite a bit working there.

Now it’s been over 10 years, I have a yuppie white-collar job, and figured now I was mature enough to just leave the stock system in my VW alone. Boy, was I wrong.

I’ve had “modest” systems in each of the last 6 cars I’ve own, the last 3 being VWs. Each successive system I tried to downsize, despite still having the urge to crank it up from time to time. And I’ve learned that German cars so ridiculously more difficult to work on than ‘Merican cars. Pain in the ***!

I’m no message board newb. Most everything I look for I find with the Search button. My post count will reflect that. You can also find me on http://www.vwvortex.com, most of the time reading The Car Lounge and the Health & Fitness forum.

Soon I’ll be attempting to sell some of my old stuff; and while I won’t have any CA.com references, I can assure you that I am indeed a real person, and am in no way looking to scam anyone. I’m open and honest about anything I sell.
