got my hdd 12s in my car with my saz 5000 everything wired up 3 d3100 batts in the back 3 runs of 0 gauge sky high for power and 3 for ground big 3 done. got everything wired up and 3 days after my mechman 240a alt takes a **** on me. the voltage was at 13.6 when this happened too. dont get why it did this. it was even acting goofy when i had my 2 kicker comp r 12s on my brutus. wasnt holding voltage. hoping mechman will make this right. its only 5 months or so old. weird thing is i put my stock alt back in which is a 90a and the voltage is higher and holds **** near as good as my mechman would. granted im not going to push it but thats the weirdest thing for me

Wow, that *****. They should make that right for you, but concerning the belt I doubt they'll do anything about that.

Before you rule out the ALT shot, unhook your batteries and charge and check them one by one. I had a isssue to mine doing this, a guy told me to unhook all my batts and check all voltages by them selves, and i did it and one them were shot. it was pulling down the voltage so bad, it was acting as a load on the alt. I removed it and hooked the others back up and it was fine, havnt had a issue since.

Wow, that *****. They should make that right for you, but concerning the belt I doubt they'll do anything about that.

the belt had a warranty too so i got that replace but yeah it ***** man. they better make it right. still think im going to go with a singer 320a 6 stage hairpin and regualte it to 15v or i may get a ohio generators alt. not sure yet

My mechman has messed up 2 times in under 2 years ..im about to send it back monday ..sux ..but yea the alt only does like 140 at idle i bet u hold vetter voltage while driving bc that alt doesnt make full power until 1500rms

yeah. 15 volts. i actually almost have to man it *****. i have a 98 lexus es 300. and the computer system on it is fcukin pain in my butt. it wont let my alt charge worth a ****. the highest my mechman could go was 14.1 completely cold. my stock alt goes to 14.3.

2000 for mine. n shuldnt it give out full power at 2k in park too? cause it dont
