with my rainbow contour comp set and rear stock speakers on my stock HU, switching to that would reduce my power ALLOT wouldnt it?

Edit: Rereading your post, I think I made a mistake, your asking about replacing your head unit with that, correct? If so, then yes you would lose some power.

your stock HU is prolly pushing around the same, more like 8w rms though. so no, you wont get that much of anything out of the upgrade as far as loudness\wattage

Buy an amp now... Then save up some more money and buy a new HU if you want it.

well i ordered the jensen in dash, ok my dad said he would pay for half of the in dash, 250 bucks, if i didnt put a wire kit/amp n shit in it, so i didnt, he dont want me ripping through the firewall n shit and giving tha alt a hard time, keep in mine it would be a **** 300 watt amp, he thinks thats allot, so i said whatever!
