Finally had a nice day (50 degrees baby) and the chance to properly install my Seas Lotus Performance mids and throw another layer of mat down. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I have no idea what the folks at Seas were smokin when they designed the mid. It's a nice cast basket that is probably twice the weight as any other mid I've used, but the mounting holes don't exactly make for a snappy install. Maybe they were able to create more cone area that way though??
The door has been sealed and has one layer of eDead (crap!) two coats of Spectrum Sludge and one layer of Dynamat Extreme. I didn't take a pic of the door panel but it has the same treatment.
I've had the Reference fabric tweets in for a few weeks. A little on the beefy side, but sold as a rock!! Probably the nicest tweeter I've heard at high volumes....the louder it gets the better. My only complaint is that they are not as detailed as I would have expected, but maybe I'm just used to hard domes that tear my tympanic membranes out!!
They are in their temporary homes for now. Maybe someday I'll throw them in the A pillars if I have room. They are held up from the back by plumbers strapping. I put the foam under them to keep them from turning into crazy bobble tweets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Here's a pic of the passenger's side. If I am bold enough, I may go 3-way up front and put the midranges in some kicks on the floor there. I'll see how far this little venture takes me for now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
