This Sucks...

Jus got an orion 2500D off a member. Hooked it all up and go to set the gains with a DMM and hardly gettin an volts. Gain was bout 1/4 and the DMM only read .4-.6. Volume is 29/35, sub control 0. Then for the hell of it i tried max gain and it only read 1.5-1.6.

thats what im thinking. sounds like you have it reading DC voltage....are you selecting the V with the straight line over it...or the V with the swiggly line?

edit: you know anyone with a multimeter? try a different one

My old Alpine had to be set to +15 on the sub out to be flat.

It was designed to attenuate to level, not as a bass boost.

Its the V with the swiggly line. Its worked on other amps in the past. And im tryin the amp in anothers person car today to see if its my truck or the amp.

Took the amp over to 90accordman's house yesterday and it performed exaactly the same as in my car. Powers up, and barely does anything else. We checked the board and there no burn marks, nor nothing visably blown. So it looks like i was sold a non working amp:verymad:

I dont believe so. I talked to him for a lil last night and now waiting on a PM to see if i am going to get refunded my money and the amp would be returned to him.

yea had it hokked to a TC7 12 in an oversized box and it was barely even audible with the gain all the way up on my setup with sub output all the way up.

Was a straight amp change from my us amps amp to the Orion and the amp didnt basically do anyhting
