i'm new to the site and it is really *******. i was hopin to find a site where someone would help me figure out my problems. since i joined this forum i haven't recieved any help. people don't give a dam about others. i mean we are all here for the same reason : to make what we consider the ultimate in car audio systems whether it be 10 brahma's and 20,000watts or 1 road gear 8 inch and 1 35 watts road gear amp from wal-mart. to each his own. i've put out about 4 threads and haven't gotten any help from anybody on any of them. does anybody have an idea where i could go to get some help?

I am sorry to hear that.. You might try termpro someone will have a link.. or goto SoundDomain.com and use their forums. My pic would be http://carsound.com verygood people and extremely knowledgable.. They have helped me out several times for things that got out of control.

Sometimes posts get overlooked because they go down to the bottom of the list as others are added with other people asking questions. If you ask gain here I can try and help out as best as possible or lead you to something more specific even. But to say people here don't give a ****? You apparently have not sat and read thru the hundreds and thousands of posts here that go into much more detail and help in about any subject.

I have been here pretty much fulltime as I am working on the computers out of my house for a living and get to spend a lil bit too much or extra time on the computer during the day. Another poitn I have been making to more people complainign about not getting a response is...... WE DO THIS FOR FREE and in our SPARE time! Don't get stressed and hyped up over it because we can not respond right away.

sportincamry is in his right to complain. hes not alone there are lots of unansweared threads and tons of stupid *** threads in which nothing is discussed (might wanna check out threads like "THE THREAD" " anyone have a prob with me?" "my wife..." etc etc) and theres also a ton of replies that dont help at all (like sayin "yeah" or "u stupid *** messed up bad" or "i agree with him in sayin hes wrong" or "u should look somewere else" or the worst reply to all "WHY IS THIS QUESTION IN GENERAL WHEN IT SHOULD BE IN HU OR IN AMPS OR SPEAKERS?"

and if he said people dont give a **** about others thats because some people tend to be elitist while choosin to read threads... if they dont recognize one of their "buddies" on the thread starter they dont bother takin a look.

THE Thread was started with no point and was made into a general discussion for anyone to come by and join in. Some of the other threads that are one post wonders are idiotic and some have been reported even to admin due to being harrassing and or threatening. I sit and take a look over MANY posts and have posted tons of places that my "friends" have not posted. I try to help out where I can and do what I can and f there is a major problem with that then you are free to leave. It is easy enough to avoid threads that are started that you do not wish to see or think are stupid while others are enjoying themselves and their time on the net. Some of us spend a good deal of time helping out others and enjoy being able to post then on THE Thread or others to relax a bit. with over 800 posts in just over a month I ave not had too many people I have helped or that come here asking for help *****ing. It seems to me your *****in because you can for whatever reason and are just adding to the so called idiocracy in the forum you are claiming to hate so much.

I have an epiphany for all of you complaining about not getting help that may have just slipped your mind or gotten lost on a faulty neuron up there. It is all in how you treat people. My first post on here was asking for help on my system and I received tons of replies. Many members, contrary to the whole "clique" and "discrimination against newbies" conspiracy theories, have contacted me outside the setting of this forum offering up invaluable advice. Such outstanding members who have given their time and attention are Mark_ab, Alaxan, jlaine and RangerMan despite me having only one (1) thread under my belt. So, in short, my advice would be to just treat people with common courtesy and respect, and you may just get more help than you could ever need. But in the words of Dennis Miller, "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

hey look i didn't mean to start a civil war here. i was just upset because i was havin major problems with my set-up and couldn't find any help. i'm in the military and live a thousand miles from home. i don't know anybody and can't seek help from anybody in my line of work (air traffic control) most people are senior to me and in their 30's or 40's so they don't know anything about car audio. so i came to this site to find help and maybe make some friends that could help me with my problems. sorry for the inconvienence.

Hey, I see my 30s down the road a bit so I resent that remark! Only kidding. Then, IMHO, I would seek out the aforementioned memebers (i.e. Mark_ab, Alaxan, jlaine, RangerMan, etc.) as they are always happy to assist and never consider it an inconvenience. Best of luck!

But most of the time I am only on here during the week. most of my weekends are tied up. I try to help as many people as I can. But to be hoest with you, some questions I have no idea. But if I feel that I can offer any thing I am always glad to help. I help out when and where I can and like ramos said I tend to look for posts with no replies to see if I can be of help. If I can't I try to lead or direct someone to where they are best helped. Sportincamry.....I was in the airforce and know much of what it is like there and dealing with that. I did a lot myself while I was in as far as building up a system etc.....Any time you need a hand feel free to give me a yell and if I can help out I will.
