i would like to know why my front stage isn't as loud as others. i always see people driving pass me and they have stock systems and some people aftermarket stuff. i can hear the words from cd's and from the radio and the words are perfectly clear. i mean this when i'm sitting across the street or i'm up in my apartment ( which is on the fourth floor and my windows are open). i have crystal sscs6 comps and a diamond amp that kicks out 200 watts a side. it sounds nice and gets loud enough for me but.............. why are so many other peoples front stages so much louder?

if your car is deadened it wouldn't be as loud from the outside....

with a good install, good deadening, and proper tweeter placement...i don't see why your crystals don't sound great. what kind of vehicle do you have and have you done the above three things?

i think i know wat u mean a little. i had a93 maxima and now i have an 02 maxima. the 93 didnt have tweeter up front but i added some on the door beside the side mirror and they got pretty loud from the outside. my 02 got them in da pillar which is loud while im inside but just okay (imo) on the outside. i think ITS BECAUSE the sound is shooting across the dashboard instead ofpeople who got them place on the doors and the sound is going out the window.

Have you ever been in a car with a factory system cranked all the way up? It's loud, but extremely distorted, and lots of newer systems cut out the bass at high volume. Also, lots of hood ninjas have like 19 coaxes in each door...

1.) but thats the thing, i can understand all the words clearly, even when i'm up in my apt and peeps are driving past

It's harder to hear the distortion 4 floors up.

I think your system is louder than you think, but with sound deadening it keeps all that sound contained within your car. My system gets crazy loud and when it is turned up to 52/60 you can hear very little outside. Don't worry about other people with poor equipment and cheap installs
