This is so f****** complicated and expensive

i thought this stuff was going to be complicated too but i did something called RESEARCH. everything seems pretty easy now, most likely just a bit time consuming setting up but not complicated.

I just wish I had a friend or family member who knew a lot of car systems and how to hook it all up. I don't know anything about cars or how to hook up all this stuff. I'd would just give my friend/family member $1500 to build me a system and hook it all up for me but there isnt anyone to help. I forgot to add sound deadening too....
Hooking up a car system is no harder than a home stereo system. Your home stereo needs to be plugged in the wall for power while a car system has to be wired to the battery. You have to hook up speaker leads, signal, and make things neat in a car or home. Lastly, installing a HU is as easy as reading the instructions that come along with the dash kit and using crimp connectors to connect the color matched wires on a HU.

The hardest thing is really taking the car apart for the 1st time. If you've never done that before I can see how someone would be a little intimidated. But most cars are snapped together with clips...so get a good grip and yank.

Tools that would be handy are Klein wire strippers & crimpers, unibit, and maybe a panel popper. Every man should own sockets & a drill already.

Just dive in and pop your cherry. Once you do it and everything works/goes back together, you'll be back here telling the next noob how it's done.

Whole lot of whining from the OP... I mean, I don't even have $500 put in, and I get pretty loud. Hell, just a decent sounding system with a little bass can be had for that much. No need for a new alt or battery, I'm still using OEM both of those.

gotta buy used, and do your research. I didn't have any clue how to do any of this 7 months ago either.

Hell, if you were in Southern California, I'd gladly take $1500 to build and install your system.

I got a new 3200dvd, 2 used newish style 12" type r's, used pa2400d(1500rms) and 2 new sets of cadence 6.5 comps for 600..Shop around, buy used and you can save alot of money guy..
