I've got a customer that will put just about anyone's ghetto system story to shame.
He drives a ~92 Acura Vigor. We installed a JVC radio/CD/DVD deck for him, and his ghetto 7" pull-out screen (not motorized- you have to manually pull it out). Anyway, he comes in about once every few weeks with a new problem and expects us to fix it. Last time he came in, he had a RF amp installed under the front passenger seat, and grounded it to the track that moves the seat foward and backwards. Someone moved the seat, and ripped the ground right out. He said the radio blew the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif. Told him what the problem is, and expected me to fix it for free- sorry, not happening. Next, he has 2 10" MTX subs, the Road Thunder series (black cone, red stitching on surround). They are in a prefab bandpass, with the plexi removed, and neither of them are screwed in- they are hanging halfway out of the box. He said that they aren't working right, and they are blown and wants new ones (he bought them from us). Told him to get himself a drill and screw them into the box like they should be...

heard one from a guy who worked at circuit city...
guy comes in and asks them about subwoofers. asks if this little cheap 12" will be loud etc.. etc..
after a few the guy buys it
next day he comes in and says my sub isnt working right. it doesnt have much bass coming from it.
the worker asks him what kind of box he has. ported or sealed and how did he hook it up (its SVC but who knows ppl are stupid)
the guy then says he has the box they gave him and hed either like a new sub or a better box. (they never sold him a box just the sub)
the worker then asks for him to bring his car around
the guy does as told. and when he pops the tunk to show off this so called box. what the worker finds is this
the box that the 12 came in
the sub is mounted thru a hole cut on the top of the box. held on by tape
speaker wire is ran threw the box onto the sub. box has tape all around it to hold it together fromt he weight of the sub. etc. etc.
the worker starts to laugh at him.
the guy gets mad and asks to see the manager.
the manager comes down and asks what the problem is.
the guy tells the manager n then says hed like either another box or a exhange for another sub.
the mager takes a look and starts to laugh. he tried to hold it in but couldnt for to long.
the guy gets very made and gets in his car n drives off...
that was like one of the best stories ive ever heard, next to the wireless amp 1. lol.
